Worked example

Two-pallet shipment

  1. 1.72 cartons × 18 lb = 1,296 lb product
  2. 2.2 pallets × 45 lb = 90 lb tare
  3. 3.1,296 + 90 = 1,386 lb

Total estimated shipment weight is 1,386 lb, averaging 693 lb per pallet.
